Le modèle mural
La thermopompe murale se distingue du modèle central en raison de sa capacité à fonctionner en l’absence de conduits de ventilation. D’ailleurs, l’absence de ce dispositif la rend plus facile à installer, car aucun travail n’est requis pour l’installation des conduits. Finalement, disons que ce système offre la possibilité de régler avec précision la température à l’intérieur de la maison.
Le modèle central
De son côté, le modèle central vise à contrôler la température dans chacune des pièces de la maison, ce pour quoi il est constitué de plusieurs systèmes indépendants. De plus, mentionnons que les thermopompes centrales ont besoin de conduits de ventilation étant donné que leur fonctionnement de base vise à transférer la chaleur d’une pièce à l’autre.

Avant l’achat de votre thermopompe
Afin de choisir une thermopompe qui convient à vos besoins et dont vous ne regretterez pas l’achat, portez attention à ces quelques éléments :
- Le taux de rendement énergétique (SEER, RES ou TRES), plus celui-ci est élevé et plus vos dépenses de climatisation seront réduites ;
- Le coefficient de chauffage (CPSC ou HSPF), plus celui-ci est élevé et plus votre économie d’énergie sera considérable ;
- Le bruit produit par la thermopompe.
